The scriptures tell us that Jesus often went up to the mountains to commune with His Father in Heaven. James E. Talmage said, “Messiah though he was, he was profoundly conscious his dependence upon the Father whose work he had come to do.” What a stunningly, reverential truth Jesus teaches us in that His love for His father was all consuming as He obeyed him in all things, gave all glory to His Father and did the work He was sent to do. The uplifted face and heart expressing complete devotion is the central message of “Oh, My Father.”
